Bespoke Overcoat in Action
David Evans is considered one of the top dressers in UK. Wittingly calling himself Grey Fox , he explores style for older gentlemen.
David and I, previously have successfully demonstrated how to sport a double-breasted lounge suit. With David’s help I decided to spread the word about an area that is somewhat under explored – bespoke overcoats.
There was David at Artefact London tailoring studio sharing his frustrations that he can never find the right length overcoat. Turns out for quite some time he has been looking for a grey herringbone overcoat that would run past the knees.
Base wishes duly noted: double-breasted. Grey herringbone. Below the knees.
We completed the look with the following design details: large patch pockets with flaps, dark grey real horn buttons, burgundy lining, turn up cuff on the sleeve.
An outcome: a timeless staple for David’s capsule wardrobe. Complemented and noticed wherever he goes.
